As an energy healer and mindset coach, I've witnessed firsthand the transformative power of understanding and harnessing our energetic vibrations. In several of my talks with Chandler on Healing Heroes, we highlighted how energy and mindset work with parents has positively impacted their children—often changing their behavior. This reinforces the idea that we create our own reality through our energetic vibration. I frequently discuss with clients how we wish we had been taught all of this as children.
I took that to heart, and this summer, I am thrilled to launch my new book, Become a Star Athlete in 90 Days: Mastering Youth Mindset in Sports, written especially for kids. While the title focuses on sports, the content guides them through transformative inner work by highlighting sports superstars who use these tools to achieve their dreams. Sharing these examples motivates kids to put the tools into practice. When children understand these concepts, they can shape their own realities with intention and positivity. Engaging children through activities they love, such as sports, makes these ideas even more effective.
Below are three essential themes that are crucial for both children and parents: visualization, gratitude, and affirmations. These tools are not limited to sports; they can be applied to any area of life and at any age, offering universal benefits.
The Magic of Visualization
Visualization is a powerful technique that involves creating a mental image of a desired outcome. It allows children to see themselves achieving their goals, which boosts confidence and motivation. When children visualize themselves scoring a winning goal or acing a test, they are mentally preparing for success. This technique can be applied to any aspiration, whether it's in academics, arts, or personal growth. By regularly practicing visualization, children learn to focus their energy on positive outcomes, creating a roadmap to their dreams.
The Power of Gratitude
Gratitude is a simple yet profound practice that can significantly enhance one's outlook on life. Teaching children to recognize and appreciate the good things in their lives fosters a positive mindset. When children express gratitude, they shift their focus from what's lacking to what's abundant, creating a sense of fulfillment and joy. This practice can be integrated into daily routines, such as sharing things they are grateful for during family meals or before bedtime. Gratitude not only improves mental well-being but also strengthens familial bonds and encourages a supportive home environment.
The Strength of Affirmations
Affirmations are positive statements that help reprogram the mind for success and happiness. For children, affirmations can be a powerful tool to build self-esteem and resilience. By repeating phrases like "I am capable," "I am worthy," or "I can overcome challenges," children begin to internalize these beliefs, shaping their self-perception and behavior. Affirmations can be tailored to suit any goal or challenge, making them versatile and accessible for children of all ages.
Encouraging a Positive Mindset in the Household
It's essential for parents to understand the journey their children are on and to support them in adopting these positive practices. When parents model and reinforce visualization, gratitude, and affirmations, they create a nurturing environment where these concepts can thrive. This collective positive mindset not only benefits individual family members but also fosters a harmonious and uplifting household.
Introducing children to the concepts of energy and mindset is a gift that will serve them throughout their lives. My upcoming book is just one tool to help them embark on this journey. By engaging with themes like visualization, gratitude, and affirmations, children can learn to harness their inner power and create their desired reality. As parents, your involvement and support in this process are invaluable. Triple bonus points if you are also doing this type of work on your own—sharing in your successes. Together, we can cultivate a generation of empowered, positive-minded individuals who understand and utilize the incredible power within themselves.
